LEAD ACQUISITION · CASE STUDY
The Dollar-Lead Architecture
How a national Tier 1 real-estate network cut lead-acquisition costs by 95% — from a $20+ market standard to a $2.52 benchmark — through proprietary ad-tech engineering.
95%
reduction in cost per lead vs. market standard
$2.52
new network-wide average cost per lead
$1.00
achieved in top-performing segments
$20+
industry-standard cost for comparable leads
THE CHALLENGE
Unsustainable Acquisition Economics
In a Tier 1 real-estate market dominated by $20+ “warm” portal leads, a national network needed a scalable, proprietary way to supply its distributed workforce with leads it could actually afford. Buying leads on the open market is a tax that scales with the business — the more agents you add, the more the math works against you.
The network didn’t need a better lead vendor. It needed to stop being a customer of the lead market and start owning the acquisition engine itself — an asset it controlled, measured, and improved.
THE STRATEGY
Product-Engineering Architecture
Rather than optimize someone else’s leads, we engineered an enterprise-grade acquisition system the network owned outright. Three components carried the build.
Technical Requirements & UX
Authored the technical requirement documents, UX/UI wireframes, and functional design specs that the internal engineering team built against.
Multivariate Testing Protocol
Developed a proprietary testing framework and KPI reporting to monitor lead quality across the entire network, segment by segment.
Ad-Tech Infrastructure
Engineered the Meta Ads architecture and custom landing-page system that powered network-wide lead acquisition and brand consistency.
THE PROOF
Three Tiers of Acquisition Economics
The same cost-per-lead, drawn on one scale. The market standard sets the bar; the engineered architecture redrew it — and in the best-performing segments, redrew it again.
Bars are drawn to scale against the $20 market standard. From $20+ to $2.52 is a 95% reduction; the $1.00 top-tier result represents the network’s best-performing segments, not its average.

HOW IT WORKS
How the Architecture Works
01
Market Analysis
Identified the acquisition bottlenecks and cost drivers specific to Tier 1 real-estate markets.
02
Product Design
Engineered the proprietary ad-tech logic and the multivariate testing capability it ran on.
03
Network Deployment
Rolled the infrastructure out across a distributed workforce with real-time KPI monitoring.
04
Continuous Optimization
Refined targeting and quality thresholds against live performance data, segment by segment.
Traditional vs. Engineered Approach
Traditional Portal Approach
— Generic lead aggregation
— Fixed $20+ cost per lead
— No quality-control framework
— Limited scalability
— Reactive optimization
Why This Engineering Logic Matters
Scalability Through Architecture
Proprietary systems scale across a network without a proportional rise in cost. Engineering logic compounds the advantage as the business grows.
Data-Driven Quality Control
Multivariate testing and KPI frameworks hold performance consistent across every segment and geography — quality you can prove, not hope for.
Repeatable, Defensible Systems
Once engineered, the acquisition engine becomes an owned, sustainable moat that a vendor relationship can never replicate.
